Local Greenie Partners with NYCCAH

August 17, 2009

The New York City Coalition for Hunger has teamed up with Local Greenie to help end hunger in NYC.  Local Greenie, an innovative new directory for green and socially responsible businesses and non-profits, has recently begun to develop their NYC site.  Businesses and non-profits in NYC can create a listing for free, which allows them to show their contributions in the areas of environment, people, animals and community.  While the site is free to use and free to list, there are opportunities to advertise and thereby contribute to the NYCCAH.  Local Greenie will donate 10% of the ad revenue on their NYC site to the NYCCAH.

This partnership is just the beginning of what Local Greenie hopes will become a “Green and Social Responsibility” movement within the NYC community and beyond.  They look forward to seeing more businesses and organizations create partnerships that not only serve themselves, but the community around them and allow the members of the community to give back in new ways.

For more information, or to list your business or non-profit on Local Greenie, go to: and click on Get Listed, and help donate to the NYCCAH.

Note: NYCCAH is not endorsing their commercial activity.
